Until never

Posted by kiwisa (North Shore, New Zealand) on 26 October 2010 in Art & Design and Portfolio.

This lane in Melbourne has fabulous graffiti art up and down both sides. Being a lane it is quite narrow to get a good wide view, however I still managed to take lots of shots:)

During June/July I visited Namibia and South Africa. I took 1000s of photos and will be sharing some of them for the following months.

Tede from Aubenas 07, France

Superb those tags, a street art that I love. Nice day.

@Tede: Thanks - they are fun streets to explore with the camera:)

Fokkio from Netherlands

A nice streetview. Do you have a series of this? It's an interesting theme. Have a nice day Frances.

26 Oct 2010 7:47am

@Fokkio: Thanks Fokkio - yes I will be posting over the next few days:)

CElliottUK from Reading, United Kingdom

This is class grafitti-real art!

@CElliottUK: :)

Stephen from Canberra, Australia

A great laneway shot. I like the angle and the height of the wall you get in the frame. The milk crates on the ground are OK – but those wheelie bins you see everywhere can ruin this type of shot!

26 Oct 2010 8:07am

@Stephen: Thanks and yes I agree, I cropped the whellie bins out from the end of the lane:)

Mhelene from Paris, France

Absolutely superb ! It is really often difficult to get good pictures of the graffitsi (sometimes there are cars ..!!)you get a good picture here andI guess we'll see other tomorrow !

26 Oct 2010 8:19am

@Mhelene: Thanks and yes you will see more tomorrow:)

k@ from Paris, France

A great work on this wall and Until Never is a strong expression for sure ! Let's meditate... ;))

26 Oct 2010 8:38am

@k@: LOL - I think it was an art gallery, but was closed when I went past - so really was not open 'until never' ;)

Calusarus from St Sorlin en Valloire, France

A very interesting wall. Nice shot

26 Oct 2010 9:07am

@Calusarus: Thanks

Tamara from Aarschot, Belgium

Graffitis are a nice addition in our cities. They add some color and atmosphere. Nice angle here Frances, you did a great job ! Have a lovely day :)

26 Oct 2010 9:20am

@Tamara: Thanks Tamara - they are nice additions if they are artistic. The random signatures and swear words are not positive graffiti for me:)) Enjoy your day

Yes, Frances, it's an Art Gallery. Google (i call it the FBI) confirms here ! ;)

26 Oct 2010 8:34pm

@k@: You and Google are very clever. Sadly it was too late in the day to go into the gallery, but next time I definitely will.

Great shot, nice to see some Shepard Fairley pieces. Nice

27 Oct 2010 6:52am

@David: Thanks for the visit ... Until Never (the gallery) was exhibiting Shepard Fairey’s work but by the time I got there it was closed for the day. The wall that leads from the corner of Hosier Lane to the gallery’s entrance is covered with his most iconic images.
