I only saw that he had an insect in his beak when I was able to enlarge the photo at home.
I have wasted years of my life trying to get a kingfisher-with zero success. Well done on this great capture-I am so envious!

@CElliottUK: Thank you - I was incredibly lucky to see a wide variety of birds at the Miranda Bird Sanctuary, and even luckier to photograph quite a few.
