We still have these relics around our coastline from the same era. Different 'enemy', though - yours likely made your trusty PC while mine built my reliable car. Strange world.

@Ronnie 2¢: Yes Ronnie, spot on with the guess on the enemy. Needless to say the enemy never arrived and today the bunker is used by a local music group and apparantly has also been used for scout meetings in the past.

Interesting with that bunker, who has built that?
We have many bunkers along our west-coast (where I love to go as you might have noticed!) - they were built by the Germans during the Nazi occupation 1940-45....- and we can't get rid of them :-(

@Truels: The Bunker was built in 1891, as a command post to watch for possible Russian invasion!
