#4 Gallipoli: The Scale of Our War

Posted by
kiwisa (North Shore, New Zealand) on 26 February 2016 in Art & Design and Portfolio.

In another scene we find a nurse weeping, having just discovered that her brother has died in battle. A poignant and emotional expression of the other side of the war, away from the front line.

Certainly a sad reminder of the far reaching effects of war.

Excellent photographic documentary of the exhibition. And the mere visit to the places where the events took place can provoke a very deep distress no matter how peaceful now they appear.

War ... is frightening and sad ... this scene looks natural and very sad ... I like the clear details, natural colors and excellent light ... thanks for the interesting information ...

There is so much emotion here. I am sure that she has seen the worst of it with wounded men. A great image that captures so much.
