#6 Hot air balloon ride

Posted by
kiwisa (North Shore, New Zealand) on 19 June 2018 in Sport & Recreation and Portfolio.

Unfortunately we were caught by a gust of wind as we were landing and were dragged 500m across the stony hill. Apart from one lady with a sprained ankle and my mild concussion, we still managed to enjoy a champagne breakfast. Yes, I would do it again.

I have had acquaintances who always have their own company with several balloons and pilots. That's why I look and love your photos with passion.
Talented artist photographer and more.

@yoshimiparis: Thank you, you are very kind.

Michael Skorulski from Toronto, Canada

That landing must have been "exciting". I like the beauty of the woven basket.

@Michael Skorulski: Actually a bit scary but thank goodness no one was hurt.

Ça c'est terminé comme pour moi..... Seulement j'avais le cubitus fêlé, le radius en morceaux et je suis sortie de cet engin avec une trouille incroyable après être passé au dessus d'une ligne électrique. Pas sérieux ces pilotes. !!!....

@tataray: Sorry you had such a bad experience. Although we had a crash landing, no one was badly hurt, so we were luckier than you.

Ronnie 2¢ from Atlantic Shores, United Kingdom

Ah, glad to read there were no serious injuries . . but I guess the risk is part of the lure.

19 Jun 2018 6:11am

@Ronnie 2¢: Yes it is, I must admit to being pretty shaken when I came around, but a quick visit to a medic put us all at ease. My camera on the other hand, had half the desert in it - big clean when we got back to the hotel.

Corinne from Sablonnières, France

It must have been exciting but also somewhat scary !
