#2 Serengeti - secretary bird

Posted by
kiwisa (North Shore, New Zealand) on 2 November 2018 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio.

The secretary bird is a very large, mostly terrestrial bird of prey. Endemic to Africa, it is usually found in the open grasslands and savannah. This was the first bird we saw after entering the gate. He entertained us for a while crossing back and forth around our vehicle, providing a few good photo ops.
